Eligibility for Membership
Membership in the First Families of Kentucky shall be by invitation only. An individual will be recommended by a member in good standing who will serve as the proposer and another member who will serve as the seconder. The proposer will attach a brief, one-page biographical sketch of the person being recommended. After the Governor General receives the information, he or she will provide the Membership Committee with the proposed name and biographical sketch for their consideration. If the Membership Committee approves the person being nominated for membership, the Governor General will take the recommendation to the Executive Committee for their approval. The Registrar General will send the proposed member the appropriate application form.
